Danish Tech Company with Unique Solution Against Image Abuse Receives Major Recognition with Two Startup Awards

SASHA, short for Safe Share, received two startup awards at this year’s MediaTech Festival in Odense, Denmark. The company is developing innovative solutions for secure image sharing, both for private users and businesses. SASHA was recognized for its groundbreaking technology and disruptive potential.

The contrast between the few consequences online and the significant impact in the real world drove the innovation behind SASHA.

“One of the main driving forces behind our mission is that we should be able to enforce our rights in the digital space and hold people accountable for their actions,” says founder Thomas Eriksson.

Media City Odense ApS and TechSavvy – Denmark's largest startup media – are behind the festival, which focuses on innovation and technology within the media industry. SASHA’s technology was specifically highlighted for its ability to meet the growing need for secure sharing in an increasingly digital world. SASHA won the category ‘Rising Star’, and the main award, ‘Best MediaTech Innovation’.

SASHA thanks Media City Odense ApS and TechSavvy for spotlighting startups and technological innovation.

“We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition,” says founder Thomas Eriksson. “It’s a fantastic affirmation of our work and motivation to continue developing secure and user-friendly solutions for content sharing across various platforms. While the digital environment has allowed us to connect more deeply and express our actions and opinions with unprecedented reach, it has also created a new space for violations of human rights.”

App coming soon for private individuals

The first opportunity for users to access the protection technology will come through an app called SASHA Signature. This app will allow users to control how their images are used, providing increased security and privacy. Specifically, users will be able to see who has forwarded protected images, find help, and trace the original sources.
